Installing KindleForge

Yep, There’s a appstore for your jailbroken Kindle, and it has everything from KUAL, KOReader, an OTA checker, Alpine Linux, and more!

Official KindleForge Install Guide

  1. Get the latest release from the official KindleForge GitHub.
  2. Extract the zip file.
  3. Copy the KindleForge folder and KindleForge.sh into your Kindle’s documents folder. (if all you see is a KindleForge folder, see if the folder and file are in there).

Updating and Troubleshooting

Versions >= 4.0.9

  1. Open KindleForge.
  2. Click the 3 dots on top of your screen.
  3. Click “Update KForge”.

Versions <= 4.0.8

  1. Delete the KindleForge folder.
  2. Delete the KindleForge.sh file.
  3. Re-do the install instructions.
